Have you played Aion
I am sucessfully playing Aion on a Mac using Windows XP on Bootcamp. Runs great. Because I've been annoyed with restarting the computer when wanting to switch to between operating systems, I decided to try using Parallels. What's nice about Parallels, is all I had to do was install it, and direct it to use my Bootcamp partition. Everything works pretty good. I started up Aion and it works nice (I'm really impressed with Parallels at this point). When I log into Aion I'm surprised how smooth everything is. Then, I ran into the same issue I've noticed other people having with Aion on Parallels. Characters aren't drawn.
Anyone have any idea if there is a way to get the avatars to load? Technically, i think the game is playable as long as you have the option turned on to have names displayed for everything. Then you can just click and guess where the body is. But, where is the fun in fighting if you can't see the battle?BTW, in parallels, I chose to allow Windows to use both cpus in my dual processor imac, as well as 2GB of RAM (I have 4GB, but the recomended aion specs only list 2 so i figure that would be great). I realized that quests were suddenly becoming scarce, and I was forced into tackling some of the orange-level quests, causing an increase in average deaths to ensue. Casual players will be turned off by this. Quests should be rewarding and challenging, not strenuous. Also around this range, I found that the full arsenal of abilities at my disposal were required for nearly every mob fight. Sure, I got a rotation down eventually, but it was quite tedious to use every trick in the book just to down a single target.
